Brand Development

Zevra Therapeutics

Zevra Therapeutics is a rare disease company at the intersection of science, data, and patient needs.

A COMPANY IN TRANSITION

KemPharm was founded on a pro-drug technology that yielded several commercial products. However, after KemPharm’s shift in focus to rare disease drug development, the company’s name, branding and online presence felt cold and technical to the rare disease patient community they hoped to help.

FROM DULL TO DAZZLING

Following extensive research and 250+ potential brainstormed names, Zevra, the Greek word for zebra, was selected as a representation of the rare disease community. The old medical school adage states, if you hear hooves, expect horses. However, the zebra represents the rare disease community and all the different stripes of people with rare conditions. With the brand refresh in full swing, Evoke Canale developed a full suite of messaging and branding with a website overhaul.
